The gun club I belong to used to have a website but my friend Tom used to take care of it passed suddenly. :sadangel: ( age 55  )
How much time and knowledge is needed to keep it going? They have it currently "off line" since Tom was the one to contact and his SO didn't need to be reminded of his sudden demise.
I have a feeling it's going to be beyond my computer expertise but wanted to ask.
Thanks
Jeff

Did the club pay the hosting fee ? Was there a backup admin or someone else listed with them ? We have one for our CW group. Mostly post our schedule and pics on it. No msgs. like with a forum. You may only need to change the 'contact email address' to someone living ? And leave it like it is. Maybe learn how to add pics or something ? A LOT of groups and people are just doing Facebook pages these days vs. a web page.

Plenty of members so I'm sure they paid the hosting fee.

Thanks. I was emailing back and forth with another friend and was wondering about getting it back up.

Call me later this week and I'll help you art it out. Lots of variables. The biggest issue is what the current site was built with. If hard coded in HTML, it's got a steep curve. If Wordpress, easy. And several platforms Inbetween.
My site is on Joomla (an open source platform). The trick is getting it set up, then it's very easy to update. Same with Wordpress.
I'll pm my phone #.
