My daughter can't wait.

Loves the iPhone, hates AT&T. Like about a bazillion other people.

Our $100/mo share plan with Sprint would cost over $150/mo with Verizon. F that.

Sprint coverage sucks here in BFE, at least it did when I had it 5 years ago.

Not sure if it's a great deal, it is on their CDMA network, so forget about doing data and voice at the same time. They should have waited and introduced it on the LTE network from the get go.

Plus, from the event, it doesn't really sound like Apple will be keeping the hardware updates on the CDMA version as much as they do with the GSM (ATT) one.

Either way, Verizon network is better then ATT and hopefully work will spring for the iphone for us.

Hmmmmm......my BB contract expires this summer. Might look into this option now.

Verizon customers are going to be pissed when all the AT&T customers come over and make their network as slow as AT&T's.

Not only that, but the Verizon version is getting stuck with the 3G
CDMA network so it will be slower than AT&T off the bat. Unlike AT&T, you can not talk on the phone while using the internet.

I for one am sticking with AT&T as I expect the network to speed up significantly after the exodus. :)

First, love the avatar. Major props to you sir

Second, I agree. I'll stick with ATT for now as I'm sure there will be some growing pains for Verizon's network for awhile and ATT's network will likely seem to improve. I also do find myself using internet while on the phone (to check an email or look up a quick phone number), so until Verizon can do that with the iPhone, I'll stay put. :iagree:

Verizon acts like they have been "stress testing" their network to handle the influx, so we will see.

My contract with Verizon is up 4/2/11, and I have a BB, not sure if I want to switch or not.

I'm in a droid x right now and so is my wife - on verizon. I've heard a ton of good about the iphone. I wonder just how good it really is. I know one thing, I have not been as impressed as I thought I would be with my X. It is a nice phone and all, but it just isn't worth the hassle of baby sitting it all the time.

We recently got the latest update, and when we did my wife's phone froze. In the process, all of her contact information, apps, phone settings were all lost. everything but pictures and vids which are of course stored on the card. I had to do a hard reset because it screwed up while updating. She was very upset about losing everything, and she hasn't had much interest in it since. She hasn't even changed the ringtones and backgrounds and all that.

She forgets it now more than she ever has and honestly just doesn't care about it anymore.

I fight with mine on a daily basis to keep the battery charged. I leave for work at around 4am, and it barely makes it to when I get home most days at around 6. It freezes up and does weird things. I have tried and tried to figure out what might be causing it all and have never gotten a for sure answer. I don't have many apps, I keep screen brightness turned down, etc. I hardly even use the thing. I came out of a blackberry curve, which never had these problems and would keep a charge for 2 or 3 days at a time.

Sorry didn't mean to Hijack, I just wonde rif the Iphone is any better.

Sprint is VERY strong in Texas. Not so much here.

I've heard a lot of this from my friends, they hate their droid and will probably go to the iPhone or back to BlackBerry.

I don't think it'll happen. Verizon has been selling Droids and MiFi units like hotcakes for a long time now and the network hasn't had a single issue with it. At least I *hope* it doesn't....

Now if VZW will hurry up and get a Windows phone. :toetap:

CDMA support is going to be in the first update to WP7.

WP7 is an interesting device, anyone thinking about getting a smartphone should at least give it a shot and try to ignore the painful memory of Windows Mobile 6.5 and earlier. WP7 is truly a whole new beast.
