So, instead of a specific day thread for naming a beer...How about a thread that you can share some info on whatever craft beer you may be enjoying.

Today's selection is another Cigar City brew - Homefront IPA. It is a nice mild IPA that is aged with Louisville Slugger baseball bats.

Sam Adams Imperial Stout!:seasix: 9.2% alc. Huge malty flavor, and should be had cool like a Guinness, not ice cold. It pours like 30wt oil, and is just damn good!!!

Yes, their Imperial series beers are nice. I remember last year they did an Imperial Sampler that had some interesting beers. :cert:

The Homefront IPA isn't bad, but the Cigar City that was aged on cedar that we drank the other day was out of this world awesome.......

In Chicago headed out to dinner. Not sure what they have but I'll report back later if it's anything worthwhile.

Being from the Atlanta area originally, I would have to assume you like at least a few of Sweetwater brewing co. beers. Some of their seasonals are really good. I think I saw some "Road trip" at the store today. I had some last summer and it was really good. Also, Stone Brewing Co. has some good stuff. Their seasonal Imperial Stout is really good and clocks in at something like 10.5%. It should be showing up soon, as it is like a May-Oct beer for them. It comes in I think a 22 oz. bottle and is worth every cent you pay for it. You and Rob should check it out if you can find it.:seasix:

Yes. We have had both Sweetwater and Stone. Both have great selections and Sweetwater seasonals are awesome. We have had the road trip.

I'm a huge fan of Sweetwater and Terrapin and I don't think there's a beer of theirs I haven't had. The Sweetwater Blue is my favorite by them though. I like the Terrapin Side Project beers which are generally limited release.

Terrapin just recently came out with some new ones that I'm yet to try:

RecreationAle, Tree Hugger, and Maggie's Peach Farmhouse Ale. Been a while since I've been to a beer store to see if they are in. The best one out there by them right now is the Oaked Big Hoppy Monster. If you see this in the stores, I HIGHLY recommend trying it. :cert:
