This is the correct one for a C5, that fits w/o modification:
OPTIMA® Batteries 8022-091 75/25 REDTOP® Starting Battery :: OPTIMA® Batteries (http://www.optimabatteries.com/us/en/shop/redtop/optima-batteries-8022-091-75-25-redtop-starting-battery/)

The 75/25 is the group size, and is all you need to remember if you're headed to a store to buy one.
They also make a larger 34/78 size, which will physically fit in the battery compartment, but it requires a different clamp (avail from Optima) to secure it.

I used to have a red top, but after it failed, and receiving poor warranty service about it, I quit buying Optima. IMO, their quality isn't what it used to be, and they aren't worth the premium price.

Sounds like you are going through batteries fairly often, maybe every couple of years or so. Do you drive the car infrequently? If the answer is yes, you might consider a battery maintainer. Generally the problem with Corvette batteries is the infrequent use of the car. People with maintainers report that they get many more years out of their batteries.

Hello from PA, new to the forum. I own a 2000 convertible and can't say enough about the Battery Tender. I got 11 years out of my original Delco.

Nope, I got/had 34/78s in both my 98 and 02 and I use the stock clamp. Perfect fit.
I've had MUCH better luck with the yellow top over the red top.

Not a fan of Redtop. Mine went bad after two years.
