Thanks for the info. My wife has a pacemaker. It's always good to get vital medical information from a car forum instead of your cardiologist or the manufacturer of the device..:seasix:

Seriously, thanks.

Most people don't know but when someone dies in the hospital and they have a pacemaker we have a donut size magnet that we put on the patient to stop the pacemaker.

I thought they were. I could have sworn my mom told me the hospital took my dad's out before they released him to the funeral home

Now I'm wondering about that guy Lucky. The one with a hook hand, wooden leg and glass eye. What do they do with all those parts when someone buys the farm?

mine has a vibrate function. :yesnod::yesnod:

nurse made it do it last check up.

it vibrates if there is a problem. not because the nurse is in the room. :slap:

they told me my iPhone could interfere with it, so don't put the iPhone in my pocket near it. so i carry my iPhone in my right pants pocket, and listen with my right ear.

Most morgues are in the basement and I feel no need to go into the basement for anything. You know kinda like in those horror movies where you look at the stupid white girl and think to yourself don't go down there, don't go down there and the next thing you know she is screaming, bloody and slashed by a maniac. I do not need to venture down to the basement.... I'm a smart white girl. ;)

So, the Nurse made it move... hope it was as good for you as it was for her. :leaving:

Some of those tiny ceramic magnets used in phones are incredibly strong. I wouldn't want one near my heart even without a pacemaker considering that it operates on electrical signals.

I was in the Cook County, Illinois Morgue. I was in the room where they kept the bodies on ice. That was the most depressing room I've ever been in. Seeing all the dead bodies stacked like cord wood.
