View Full Version : So, I just traded off my Red Jacket AR-15 for.....

... a 5-string bass guitar that used to belong to the bass player for Molly Hatchet (got documentation, pics, etc...) and a stretched rolling frame Chopper that needs to have a motor, controls, and paint. And yes, the frame is already stamped with VIN number so I can title it and I have all the paperwork that goes with it.
I think I made out much better on the deal, but my friend I am doing this trade with needs to clean out his garage and studio. I'm good with it and that'll give me more stuff to keep me occupied and out of trouble for longer than ten minutes at a time :D
And the AR-15 will be replaced with an AR-10 very soon :yesnod:

You like the AR10?
Don't get me wrong, 308 is great but I didn't like the bulk and weight of the platform. Maybe OK for a range toy but I ain't humping that thing around the woods all day long. I must be just a BIG sissy but the M1A1 (M14 clone) was a perfect fit for me. Offers a lower prone profile too should the need arise and who can complain about that :D
Oh, and it comes in black too :D

Sweet man! Good luck on finding an AR-10 that hasn't been jacked up.

They can be found new here all over the place :yesnod: Shooters of Jacksonville had about 15 different models and even a SCAR in .308.

Matter of fact, i found a S&W AR-10 today decked out with Moe furniture for $1600.00. I almost pulled the trigger on that one (pun?) but decided to wait since i have some parts for the hotrod I'd rather buy first (starting off by changing out the 1.5 rockers for 1.6's :D )

HTF did I get the last name wrong. My bad. I've been told the right name so many times that it's baffling. The bass used to belong to Tim Lindsey.
