I'm sure you are probably already aware of this, but somebody splattered oil or paint spots all over your pretty white dog.

I'm sure you are as tired of hearing that as Great Dane owners are of hearing "Put a saddle on that thing." or "How much does it eat?"

OK I gotta ask...do dogs like that kind of thing? The whole dog show, stand still, pose this way, etc?

Really just curious.

And great lookin' pup.

Some do and some don't. The ones that like it, make outstanding show dogs. The ones that don't, make horrible show dogs.

I have one that goes wild the minute the show gear comes out. She knows it's time to go to the dog show and perform.

I also have one that hated it. Tail down, horrible attitude, turned into a complete dud in the ring. I quickly stopped showing him. He was miserable, and if they are not having fun there is no point.

Some dogs are simply meant to be the family pet and are content being lazy or playing outside..... like my big grey floppy eared stubborn dummy.

I have a dog here who was not the greatest, decent, but not a Best in Show dog, example of the breed.

He went "Best in Specialty Show" TWICE, on sheer attitude and showmanship. The little guy just LOVED showing.

When he won his first Specialty people were NOT happy. I am not a professional handler, and am pretty much a nobody in Wire Dachshunds. Out of the blue comes this dipshit who NOBODY knew, beating the top dogs in the breed. All on attitude and the "Look at me bitch!" factor.
