I've been able to snuff out many a small gas fire with towels and such. I was laughing to see him trying to blow it out.
Experience has taught me to own an extinguisher and to have a couple of gallon jugs of tap water in the garage.

This and not being an idiot helps. What was that noise? Fuel pump?

Let's see, what could go wrong....
-engine hanging on a chain
-one gallon plastic gas can hooked to an electric pump right beside open headers
-no extinguisher handy
-trying to put out a gas fire with water
-trying to start it again while still in flames?
I hope that guy hasn't ever produced off spring. That line should end there!

I don't think was any exhaust headers or manifolds attached to the heads.
