The passenger side mirror assembly fell off of my DD truck. It was actually attached from the factory with double sided sticky tape :kick: I decided to try a heaping helping of JB Weld. If it doesn't hold...I'll order a replacement.
What is the best redneck fix it ?

Macgyver would use chewing gum and a paperclip.
Same thing happened with the Grand AM. I used JB weld about a year ago that suckers is still holding tight.
But you asked for red neck so I picked duct tape. :)

Just let the passenger hold it for you since it's on the passenger side.
Superglue should have been an option. It holds pinky fingers to ring fingers.

Some kids broke off the mirror on a friends escort. I reattached it with duct tape.
I had the radio in my corvette repaired and they lost one of the screws that holds it into the console. The only one I could find around the house that fit was in my BBQ grille. It's a corvette screw now :D
Patched up a leaky pipe with cling film and duct tape once.

Duct tape for the win and if that doesn't work drill some holes in the door and secure it with zip ties. Personally to show how classy I am I'd do both and make sure the duct tape was very decorative.

I'm thinking the high speed tape they use on airplanes would add some bling. Kind of like the fake chrome look of some trim material.

My suggestion.
JB Weld will hold it for a little while. Eventually you will need to suck it up and just replace it though.
rednecks fix it for as little money spent as possible, and if it fails, they fix again, often the same way as the failed first fix.
ballers just buy a new one, and give the busted thing to a redneck, who will fix it for as little money spent as possible....

I guess, it really is just a temporary experiment. I used half of the JB Weld on it. The driver side broke a few yrs. ago and I got a new one pretty cheap from rockauto.com. Funny that most old cars never even had a pass. side mirror.
Just checked RA. $8-$12 for the entire assembly :leaving:
I think I spent $8 on JB Weld
