View Full Version : Weekend weather
Been in the 70's and 80's all week and then BAM, drops to 36 last night. Had to cover the garden and plants for a frost warning.
Glad I mowed the yard Thursday before we got 2 inches of rain overnight. Might have to fire up the heater and wax the truck in the garage this weekend.

We had a record low of 22 degrees last night. Beating the old record of 26 degrees set in 1888. That's not a typo. 1888.
One of our annual bike runs is today. We got 6" of snow on Thursday. I think maybe I'll pass. (http://www.floodrun.net/)

Go to the pool and relax.....:seasix:
It did warm up to 58 today. Turned out to be nice and sunny a little chill in the air but overall not too bad. Got some projects done in the back yard today. Took down our old LED rope lights and hung up a 4 new 50 foot sections. My wife thinks we should have a nice lit up backyard. It gives us a nice glow in the yard so we can see the critters come in at night.
I also got our fans ready for spring, two 42 inch barn fans and a 48 inch barn fan. Had to rewire a plug on one of the fans, the ground lug came out of the plug. Never saw that happen before.
I did get to take two trips into the big city with the X5M. Nice spirited drive on the four lane going into town. Makes me look forward to May with a little trip through Tennessee before the barn raising.

Indiana, where a 30º drop in temps is as common as a 30 cent jump in gas prices.

That's no photochop, that was really offered for sale back in the 70s. The motorcycle is a 1972 Kawasaki H2 750 ( three cylinder 2 stroke street bike )
The guy riding this past march (MN) said it was fast as hell but scary

With an H2 for power, that's a suicide machine.
The powerband surprises you every time.
