We had a JRT. I still miss her.:sadangel: She had bladder cancer when she was 10 years old. Bandit looks a fun furry friend!

and to bring info from your other thread, I can almost guarantee you are center-weighted.

White or dark subjects is where this becomes important and you have a prefect example here.

The first few pics, your pup is blown out, i.e. no real detail in the bright white parts of his coat. if you had metered for that, it would not have been blown out and look so ghosty, and had better results such as his coat when he is in the flowers, basically that side of his coat in the shadows. you can see a lot more detail in his coat there.

Spot metering would have given you a better chance at that detail whether he was in the shadows or the sun:cheers:

Not trying to be a dick critique here. just wanna help.

By all means; Critique! :cert:
I welcome the input, 'cause I'm new to all this.
So, how does one 'spot meter'?

edit: just read your other post on spot metering

yeah its a setting you're going to have to find in/on your camera. Think you're on canon and i'm a nikon guy.

probably a simple switch or knob on the back.
