View Full Version : Found some Indian Artifacts

Hand tools on the left and top. I think...chisel, ax, and other things. I compared them with online images. They could have been used for skinning animals, making arrowheads or clothing. You can see the serrations in them. I'm within a few miles of what was the Cherokee Capital. They have artifact ID days throughout the year. I'll take them next time and find out what period they are from and actual tool names.

The black looking rock in the top right is different. I don't want to say meteorite, although it is very smooth to the touch and black. I would like for someone to examine it though...The two rocks (bottom, right) have some shiny silver particles in them. It didn't show up too well on the pics.

Will a magnet stick to the upper black rock? Also are there little depressions that your thumb fits nicely into?

Refrig. magnets do not stick.

This is totally cool. Wife has a few finds from her dad and when she was a kid. They found arrow heads and some cool rocks when he was plowing the fields around their house.:yesnod:

Wife here now is part Native American.....

and so we have a few mementos from a trip out to Santa Fe NM. years ago....

interesting pottery, and other stuff....

wife is a GREAT lady ....undergoing much stress these days....
