Psst: Your yoga pants might be too revealing

A popular maker of yoga gear is pulling its black yoga pants from stores shelves because the sheer material is, um, a bit too revealing.
Lululemon Athletica, a Canadian company, pulled the pants from shelves and its website over the weekend. The company says it is not sure why the pants are so sheer since it hasn't changed materials.
"We have determined that certain shipments of product received from our factories and available in store from March 1, 2013 do not meet our technical specifications," the company said in a statement. "The items affected are certain styles of women's bottoms in our signature black Luon fabric. The ingredients, weight and longevity qualities of the pants remain the same but the coverage does not, resulting in a level of sheerness in some of our women's black Luon bottoms that falls short of our very high standards."
The company says it is working to with the supplier to replace the fabric. It is certainly bad news for Lululemon, given that the pants represent about 17% of all women's bottoms sold in its stores. So, it is warning customers to expect a shortage.
"We regret any inconvenience this has caused for our guests. It is always our first priority to protect the quality of our fabrics that keep our guest so loyal to our products. We will accept nothing less than the very highest quality we are known for," said lululemon CEO Christine Day.
The company is telling customers that bought the pants that they can return them for a full refund.
The situation is bad enough that the company is cutting its first-quarter revenue forecast as a result of the recall. Its shares fell $3.90, or 5.9 percent, to $62 in after-hours trading on Monday. Lululemon anticipates first-quarter revenue between $333 million and $343 million. Its prior guidance was for $350 million to $355 million. Analysts expect $352.1 million.

I'm guessing it's the "hefty" ladies that are stretching them so thin that their boils are visible. Still would like some pics though.

They weren't yoga's but I once saw a Rubenesque-figured woman get sent home from Humana Corp. for wearing a pair of white Capri pants she was deemed unqualified to wear by their "fashion police."
Seriously, they have squads of fierce fashionistas and style mavens whose job it is to roam the halls to detect dress code violators and send them home immediately to change clothes.

A lot of High Schools are banning yoga pants of any make.
Seems the girls wearing t-shirts and yoga pants were becoming too common.
One of the news articles in the local papers commented about some girls were proud of their symmetrical camel toes.

The problem isn't with 'normal' sized people wearing them - it's typically those who should not be wearing them....and they wear them a couple sizes too small.

Best marketing ploy ever. Men will actually read (and re-read) the article, women either (a) rush out to buy the slutty ones, or (b) buy the commitment to quality ploy and go through withdrawal.

What is it with women. They don't want to be seen as sexual objects, and yet they wear clothing that makes them look naked, not only for exercise as they are intended, but out in public, and to school!
Make up your minds!
Good thing I have no daughters, ....they'd be mad at me all the time. :ironchef:
If a guy wore those down the street without underwear like they do, we'd get arrested.:toetap:

I'm sure it's the constant barrage of ideal body image reinforcement in Western society that drives the brunt of 'em mad.
