Anyone else thinking what I am thinking?
That you want to have sexual relations with every female in that movie, yes, we're thinking what you're thinking.

I'm thinking it was probably better when it was Invasion Of The Body Snatchers...
I was thinking, why would aliens from another planet need helicopters and cars?

They are little sparkly things that go in a neck. To them a helicopter is like a friggin' airborne aircraft carrier.

But they have the technology to go from one planet to another.

That's exactly what they want you to think! They are actually from Canada.

That doesn't necessarily mean their spacefaring technology is vehicle based.
Maybe they do have vehicles, but they don't work in high gravity.
The "aliens" as shown don't even look carbon-based. Seems to me they need a terrestrial animal host just to survive on Earth. In that case their technology wouldn't be designed for human use and they'd have to make advances.
They've obviously been spending a lot of resources and energy in the invasion and occupation of mankind, and the quickest, easiest, most resource/cost efficient way to advance technology for a specific application is to adapt a previously existing technology, already engineered for that specific application.
So, use the cars and choppers.
If they are smart enough to build a ship that travels from planet to planet then they can build vehicles more advanced than a car or helicopter.

Making use of local resources.

As I said, you're assuming they use a ship. What's that big sparkly do-hickey thing at the start of the trailer... a transport system perhaps?
Then you're assuming they've had experience with a planet like Earth, with gravity, air, water and weather. Do they even come from a planet at all? Have they ever needed a terrestrial vehicle before?
The "aliens" making use of human technology isn't a glaring plot hole to me.... yet. It can be explained any number of ways.
Of course, the real reason they're using cars and helicopters is because the director/producers wanted to spend the money somewhere other than designing/executing alien stuff, which is mega-spendy.

I'm thinking this one's gonna' be a predictably boring, sucky movie. My daughter's read the paperback and she said it blows cold, hard, dead, stiff, blue, rigor-mortised donkey nuts!
She said based on what she read she wouldn't even Redbox that joker! :flush:

From what I saw I would agree with her.

Maybe "Defiance" that new Sci-Fi Channel original series starring super slim Julie Benz will be better when it airs next month. At least it has a video-game tie-in. :D

No. But that's how I interpret it based on what she told me. Yeah, apparently it's that bad. :puke:

It does look a bit like those made-for-SciFi channel movies. You know, the ones that have special effects straight out of the 70's, really bad acting, and everybody drives pickup trucks and lives in rural areas.

She is hot. Thought that since I first saw her on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Then she was in Dexter and No Ordinary Family with Michael Chiklis.

Don't worry. We won't be using your carcasses as hosts. You don't meet the profile we're looking for.

Yeah, like "The Flying Monkeys" that steaming doggy-doo pile which aired last Saturday night and shit.
Ol' girl Electra Avellan gave a rousing shower scene, despite the tramp stamp on her booty, though....

Has anyone else noticed that when a alien takes over human earth body they only go after the hot chicks.
Aliens have standards that seems to follow that of "The Barn"
Hide your hot chicks.
