Just got this communicae regarding the Radcliff, Ky. Police Dept. just outside of Fort Knox where I commute to and from work daily...


The Radcliff Police Department is running a program called "STEP" (Strict Traffic Enforcement Program).

Officers are receiving overtime to "enforce" all (very minor-major) traffic
violations. They are handing out $150.00 tickets for not using your blinker!!
So be very mindful of everything (speeding, lights, tags, blinkers..etc... when driving in Radcliff!

Seems the city is low on money, so what better way than "STEP." :dance:

On the real observation tip:

So, the Radcliff Police Department is paying officers "overtime" to enforce their STEP program to make money. If the police are not writing enough citations during regular hours, how are they supposed to make extra money to replenish the city's low funds during "overtime?"

Sum-ting wong with this picture and shit...just saying. Are they paid overtime based on the number of citations written during a certain period of time?? Makes me go...hmmmmm.

i would be making a detour around that town for awhile.

I would contact the base commanders and have them put out their own communique stating that the folks stationed at Ft. Knox will be actively boycotting businesses in that town until the zero tolerance War on Motorists ceases.

Put the hurt on the town's business community, and I bet the business owners of the town will be marching to city hall with pitchforks and torches to put an end to the war.

You folks need to present a united front, because otherwise, you'll just get picked off one by one.

I know it is shitty, but I do passionately hate idiots who do not use blinkers.. so to avoid any arguements about "revenue collection" I vote for immediate execution of all retards who cannot:
use turn signals
merge properly with traffic
add your own
win-win, no complaints of "revenue collection" by cop haters & less assholes on the road

IF the Fed. gov would just get the HELL outta the traffic and roads business we would ALL be far better off....

time the lights to traffic stays moving, like in rush hour....ALL DAY LONG...

eliminate about 3/4 of the stupid grass islands in middle of commercial highways....quit putting curbs stuck out into the middle of intersections for cars/trucks/trailers to run over....any questions on that last one, just look at the busted up blackened concrete.....

I agree with the bolded 110%, but it's got to be private citizens doing the killing, not the police. Police cannot become judge, jury and executioner. The motorist who was cut off by someone who has no idea what the little stick is on his steering collumn on the other hand..... Killing the non-turn signal using douche seems like an appropriate application of Stand Your Ground.

Seriously, though, I would actually like to see folks ticketed for non use of turn signals. I'd prefer that the officer follow and watch, first, though. Did the guy fail to use one signal when no other car was close? Once? OK, no problem. Did the guy weave through traffic doing that? Ticket his ass.

Hey, why not just use your signal all the time, that way everyone knows what you want to do, period? Don't assume every one of your fellow motorists knows what's rolling around in your head. Hell, many times OT has no idea what's rolling around in your head, and we know you! :D

And this doesn't mean putting your left turn signal on when you leave the house and never shutting it off. That doesn't count.

Huntsville seems to be doing it too. Got a ticket for not signaling a lane change, yet I get pulled over while the guy that passed me at over 90 got a pass...

Go figure...
