I told my wife this is the last one. Yeah right. :D

Finally got the Z shipped from Canada. Made the deal last Fall but just hadn't arranged shipping yet. Finally got it all wrapped up.

Of course, the day it arrived it was raining and the car got dirty. Hopefully, it will be dry tomorrow. This thing still smells new and is as tight a mouses ear. 9,756 miles. Got every stitch of paperwork from the first owner's purchase.

I like it!

I found the sensor for the headlights located on the dash. Just have to fool it.

It's a 95. Last year for the ZR-1. They exported about ten of the Purple/Blk ZR-1's up North. They only made twenty-five Purple cars.

Thanks. I really am lucky to be able to acquire more than one of these cars.:yesnod:

There might be a couple more than just us two. One of the big events that draws from across the country is the Black Hills Corvette Rally:

https://www.blackhillscorvetteclassic.com/

There are some great roads to drive on out in the Black Hills including the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road with its one way tunnels that you can see Mt. Rushmore through and its pig tail bridges. Worth taking in if you ever get up this way.

We do have a lot of variety in the state, from many lakes in the eastern part like Minnesota, to the prairies where I live, to the walleye fishing on Lake Oahe on the Missouri River in the center, to the wide open spaces of the west river ranches, and finally the mountainous spruce and pine forests of the Black Hills. BUT we also get down to -20 F in the winter on occasion. That is one of the reasons I had to build a sauna for my wife of Norwegian heritage. Maybe I need to wise up and become a snowbird next winter.

I took a trip around the US back in 74 and still remember going through South Dakota. Back then my travel vehicle was a 72 Pantera. When leaving Mt Rushmore I remember how strange the country looked , it reminded me of anthills or maybe stalagmites sticking up from the ground and looked like another planet...I still have pictures of my Pantera sitting in front of some of the strange looking rock formations .In 1974 I spent 9 months traveling around the US and made sure I hit every state, that was a good year for me.....:seasix:.WW

Obviously a Miata...better looking, and handles like it's on rails....Of course if the Fiero in question has a v8, handling becomes mute..:D

I propose a race between the miata and the fiero. Winner gets a PT Cruiser.

Disclaimer: I like both cars, but when I looked at the first of the new miatas I said no way would I fit in it. And I've driven a Fiero, it's nice, just not a vette.

The miata is definatly designed by someone who is slight of build and short. Having ONE of those characteristics made it possible to own, but pleasurable must've been packaged with the "slight of build" characteristic, which I have not possessed since I was twelve.
Never drove a Fiero I must admit.
PtCruiser- my WIFE owned it....I objected every time I rode in it, and traded it for the Cadillac that stranded me last week and caused me to spend several grand on my wife a new Malibu..:issues:

My wife is still working in the school system so I let her pay for her own new Honda Accord. She's 7 years younger then me so she should be bringing in a paycheck for quite a while, "I hope"... For the money she paid for that stupid Accord I could have bought a real sweet C6...:D..WW

Mine has an 03 Accord. 200+ thousand miles, been in 3 accidents (1 fairly bad). She's never been hurt, they just replace the panels and paint to match. I STILL can't stand the thing, but it works for her.
Says she wants a minivan next but I said no way, we only have one kid and I'm not playing taxi with one.
Me, I'm stuck in my youth. Just not interested in anything made past the early 90s, can't afford 60s muscle, so I look at the 70s and 80s stuff from when I had hair :D

I know where you are coming from there. I still love to drive my 1990 Chevrolet K-Blazer Silverado. (125,000 miles & all original except the alternator which actually caught fire in the middle of no where 100 miles north of Alamagordo, NM - the tow truck driver was called out of a party on a Sunday night and we literally flew back to Alamagordo) (wife was glad we made out our wills on that trip) I take the back seat out of it, install a 3/4 size (Hollywood) mattress that fits between the wheel wells and use it as a mini-motorhome every summer. It has been from Acadia, Maine to Mt. Rainier.

Sorry, I should have known after reading old posts on this forum for the last couple of years. I got the Vette in November and haven't driven it much before I put it in its winter crib so the pictures are not so good. I hope to take better ones this spring and summer. But here goes:
