Payment Gateway: Accept Online Payments, Credit Card Processing, Fraud Prevention (http://www.authorize.net/)

authorize.net

I've used it for over 10 years with no problems.

I need to accept credit cards in my business...

take 3% of your bottom line - and flush it down the toilet.

Square, FTW!

My dive club uses it and most of the vendors at street fairs and gun shows all use it too. Outstanding system and reasonable fees.

Worth it if my bottom line increases 25%.

Id rather make 40,000 a year and pay 3% in fees...than miss out on 10,000 in work because i dont accept cards.

Example...look how many people in my thread about how people pay for stuff, dont carry cash, or checks, ONLY cards?

I have not done any real research on it but it seems like a good approach for low volume CC business. No equipment to buy and just a flat percentage fee on each transaction

:iagree: In a nutshell. Your bank can probably set you up with an account and rate that best suits your needs.

Processing fee per batch of transactions uploaded. Take sales during the day/week, then upload them all at once.

Approvals/authorizations are just the first step. You don't get your cash until the processor settles with MC/Visa, and the banks. Everyone gets a cut along the way.
