Well....This ought to be interesting.:shots:

Although North Korea boasts of nuclear bombs and pre-emptive strikes, it is not thought to have mastered the ability to produce a warhead small enough to put on a missile capable of reaching the U.S. It is believed to have enough nuclear fuel, however, for several crude nuclear devices.

So it's true, then. Sanctions really ARE a prelude to war. We sanctioned the Japanese prior to WWII and just look what happened. When you screw with someone, then they screw you back, why are you surprised?

We've got 3000+nukes, plus tens of thousands of troops right on their border, and now we are starving them economically, as if they needed any help with that, and then we wonder they threaten us. Of course, they aren't threatening us at all. Their only card to play is the "we are batshit crazy" because they are coming from a position of weakness. So, all they can really do is talk shit, which is what they are doing.

We shouldn't be sanctioning them. They are starving anyway. We don't need to help with that.

They are starving because they are victims of a tolitarian regime who diverts all of the productive work of the people to that which it deems important, in this case "enhancing" their positin in the global power pyramid by acquiring nukes.

I was reading about this issue this morning and posted over on BookFace about it -

So the UN sanctions resolution specifically names jewelry, yachts, racing cars and other high-class cars as luxury items that must not be sent to North Korea....

While I do feel sorry for their suffering, I can't help anyone, and the US can't help anyone, either. When you are $ 16+T in the hole, you can't afford to help anyone. The foreign policy we can afford is to be friends with all who would be friends and have the minimum military required to prevent another country or group of countries from attacking us.

If I give you power of attorney to represent me in a land deal, I trust you to make all decisions on my behalf, and I have to accept those decisions made on my behalf good or bad...

Kinda the same as we vote someone as our president, we are also responsible for their actions good or bad.

I feel bad for the citizens that have no choice, but the decision was made.

There's no benefit to underestimating an enemy.

Would be very easy for them to load a bomb on a boat, hoist an American flag, and deliver it to the seaport of a major US city with some suicide fanatics at the helm.

The bombs they've tested so far were small but that doesn't mean they don't have or can't make a bigger one.

I dunno if this thread or not, but someone commented once that the silly bastard, like his father before him, was educated at some high dollar USA university.......learned to be a commie asshole from the best of them professors.....:issues:

I don't think either of the Kim Jung's has ever stepped foot in the US
nor were they educated here.
The kid holds a physics degree from a university in NK.

The communist Chinese leaders have sent their kids here for an education.
In 2010-2011 there were about 160,000 attending school in the US.

Lil' Kim also, purportedly, went to boarding school in Switzerland.
