I have a question about endangered birds like this......:bigears:
My buddy has a beautiful snowy owl mounted in full flight wing span in his house that he picked up at the side of the road that was hit and dead, and had it mounted. It's an endangered species and he's always worried about being charged if it's found.
If you picked up a bald eagle like this, and checked it in at the game warden/police and asked for the carcass back, would they release it to you?

You're not even allowed to own a feather. I think certain Native American tribes are exempt under certain conditions.

IDK, but Bald Eagles are no longer on the endangered list.

Neither are Bald Beavers, but you're not allowed to own one. Not even a pube.
