I was helping a guy with some issues he's having.
Never met in person.
He sent me an email last night, and responded last night. This morning he replies.
this is the first line:
'Thanks' for your 'prompt' reply . . . I already had that schematic - it's a good one.
the quotations are what got me.
sarcasm?

These "......." are quotations.

I think he meant to italicize, not do what he did. He wanted to sincerely thank you so he highlighted thank you, and prompt, because you were prompt, and hooked him up.

Send him your manifesto.
I have a manifesto?
I have a manifesto?
Most people are only about one breakdown from having a manifesto. Being here at the VB, most VB'ers are only about a half of a breakdown away.

I do know who you are. I do know what you want. If you are looking for help, I can tell you I can offer help. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a assistant for people like you. If you want my help now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

I think most of us on VB have HAD the breakdown but are too lazy to write the manifesto. Or can't spell "manifesto"...

:iagree: I think his intent was to emphasize the two words.
I would have responded, My 'pleasure'.
