Marv Albert, a sports announcer for NBC, was arrested on May 27, 1997, for allegedly biting his girlfriend, the then 42-year-old Vanessa Perhach, several times on her back and then forcing her to perform oral sex on him, after an argument in his hotel room at the Pentagon City Hotel.

After DNA linked Albert to bites found on Perhach, Albert was arrested and he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery charges. The sodomy charges were dropped.
