Someone on here has to endure this procedure.
HTW can I transfer all of my movies and music from the Vista laptop to the Windows 8 laptop?
This is going to drive me crazy enough throw furniture and dance with the squirrels :willy:

up load it to the icloud, then down load it to the new itunes on your windows 8, you only get 5 gig, so you may not be able to do it all at once.
Or a usb drive you can switch it over, or use an external hard drive if you have one.
You should be able to get the files through your drive

I tried that with no success. There has to be a simple setting that I'm missing.
....last time I tried this, it only ended up doubling (and in some cases tripling) the songs I already had on iTunes. Took me forever to straighten that up.

If I could get ANYTHING to transfer, it would be progress.

If you have a small library try the back up feature and see if you can back it up to and external hard drive instead of a disc. If you can go to the HD then back the whole damn thing up

Too late now...but, you can make a crossover cable, file share, and copy them over.
