In the thread about then mom having sex with the 15-year-olds, FasterTraffic posted this:

"I wonder if we just didn't hear about it (pre-Internet and all...) or if earlier generations were just better at keeping secrets."

I went to school in Mississippi. When I was about 16, I read in the local newspaper that HS sex clubs involving stuents and teachers had been uncovered in California...and Laurel, MS. I didn't go to Laurel HS (unfortunately), but that bit of news didn't surprise me at all. By then I had found out that my 2nd grade teacher (a voluptuous Italian woman) was screwing the boys in school (sophomores to seniors).

I went to several different schools before graduating from HS; at every one of them there was a teacher (always female) who was having sex with students. Did we students care? Only to the exrtent that we weren't in on it. Never were any of these incidents made public.

As I was typing this post my secretary said that she was involved with her chemistry teacher when she was 16. (She also said that the teacher got rich by selling drugs made in the chemisry lab at school.)

So, yes...I believe that older generations were better at keeping it a secret...and that is was just as prevalent then as it is now. The internet has just made it easy and quicker to spread the news is all.

At my high school, there was a girl that turned 18 the day after graduation. She married one of the teachers that day. I'm sure they didn't fall in love that morning.

Don't know whatever happened to the teacher, he didn't return the following year.

When I went to high school (early 60s) we had a female teacher (very decent) that banged a few of the guys there. I knew 2 of those students well and I have no doubt that it occurred. Stories like this have to get around but there was never anything done officially, though she did not get renewed for the next school year. I was hoping to get invited over for extra study help but she appeared to be only interested in the jocks.

I also knew a girl well (your typical dumb blond) that was having a hard time passing one particular course and she said to me (And I must assume others) I just have to get a B in Mr.-------- class. I like to screw and he is rather good looking if that’s what it takes no problem. She passed with an A.

A good hump of a teacher is a sign of a well rounded curriculum.

True, it might not be an either/or situation. The answer to my hypothetical could be "yes and yes."

I don't even remember her name it was so long ago. She was brunette, very long hair, and I remember those boobs even though I was only 8-years-old. She also drove a white Austin Healy.

Nuns and monks at my school- oh hell noes.

But the next door neighbor was a retired pro tennis player. She always had her groceries delivered, and it always seemed the guys took the longest time to drop them off. Back in the day, delivering groceries was a great PT job for a HS kid, so yeah...

Thinking back- I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I'm damned glad they hadn't invented cell phones with cameras. I'm sure we were just as stupid, but at least we didn't have the benefit of being able to show it off to millions of viewers.

One of the girls a year ahead of me was dating one of the teachers ( she was 18 at the time). They got married over the summer so he could keep his job

Mr K was a cool teacher. Somebody was smoking a joint outside the class room window ( I graduated in '78 ). He walked over to the window and said " You know I can smell that in here".

You heard "Oh shit" from outside and footsteps as they ran away
