Just to be clear upfront, I realize these are not the best pictures. TheBeadist tried to give me some pointers before I took the fireworks shots. Needless to say, I did not listen.

The point is Australia is a beautiful country with lots of fun things to do and good people.

Thanks Karin. But no, they are not very good shots. My comrades were taking plenty of vids and pix on fancy stuff. I mostly just enjoyed. I am going to run another thread with some “random” pix to took on my way home tonight.

Funny thing is about other people’s pix, it that you never get them. You were very nice to burn DVDs for everyone after a g2g’s at Liz’s. I do the same, in giving away memory sticks. Anyway…

I really hope to see you during Mardi Gras.

I made it to Australia while in the Navy and we went to Brisbane. Just happened to be a holiday, not a lot open at that time, so a few of us just wandered around the city. Some guy walked into a pole staring at me as I walked past him as he was going the other way. The guys I was with were :rofl:

Oh no.....the fillings are different. Fruit and cream cheese, praline... The Zulu cake has chocolate and toasted coconut on top.

A new bakery opened up and they have a bacon and maple frosting King Cake. That's what Mark is getting.
