View Full Version : Question about 9mm ammo...
What is the the difference in 9mm and 9mm+p ammo???
So it can be run through the same weapon that fires 9mm, no extra anything needed?

Yes, higher velocity and higher felt recoil also.
Here's a table (http://www.chuckhawks.com/handgun_recoil_table.htm) that kinda puts it all in perspective.

What type of gun?
depends on the gun. check the owner's manual, or the mfrs website. many older guns are not designed for +p or +p+ ammo.
Smith and Wesson SW9VE. base of base models. We like it though, and here is why....It was cheap, has gone "boom" everytime the trigger has been pulled, and it is something that my wife is not scared to grab in a panic situation(top priority).
+P or +P+ in The SW9VE (http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-sigma-sd-pistols/232633-p-p-sw9ve.html)
looks like it's ok.
have the sw40ve.
