"Ted Kennedy Faces Charges" - I wonder if he was found guilty of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident???

Cool find.

In July of 1969, I was confined to my parent's house to recover from a case of mono. To a teenager, that summer of confinement was like a prison sentence.

The drama of the moon landing made it not only bearable, but a life-long memory.

Thanks for the reminder! :seasix:

Leaving the scene of an accident causing injury is what he was convicted of. Two month sentence (the minimum for that offense) was suspended.

 find, I have a copy of the KC Star newspaper about the same event. Probably worth at least the .10 cents it cost back in '69.

Anyone here old enough to remember when you got a morning paper than an evening paper?

Moon landing, went to folk's house and grabbed Dad's 8mm cam, turned up the bright/contrast a tad on their color TV......and recorded the whole thing.....but no sound....

lost the film over the years, no clue about it.....we did show it once in some family gathering, so I know it did take well....

oh well.....

:yesnod:

The Citizen Journal was morning, the Dispatch was the late day paper.

Eventually the Dispatch bought out the CJ and shut it down. :yesnod:

What are those pictures of? They look like they are made out of paper, but they have words like a computer screen.
