Last Saturday I traded the 2000 328 for a 2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL. The Bimmer had 215K miles on it and was starting to have $$shit going bad. The new car looks like this (not my real car)

http://imgc.classistatic.com/cps/poc/121119/564r1/8422lek_27.jpeg

Black with grey interior, 123K miles and no problems. It's filthy since it's been raining ever since I started driving it. Customer of mine traded it for a 2013 Accord LX.

And on another note......I have an interview with the Security company I worked 5 years for on Thursday. I really want out of the car bidness......

I would think that would be helpful in your business. Don't you typically make more money on the "well, what's my payment" crowd than on the, "what's my out the door price on this car, the one I am looking at the exact same thing at 6 other dealerships" buyer?

Aren't uneducated buyers the ones that buy the extended warranties, the mop-n-glo, the ones that receive the higher packs, etc.?

At the dealership I'm at I only get paid on the price (front end) I don't get a dime on the backend. But yes you are correct.:yesnod:

Was it a straight up trade, or did you have to pay anything.??
Do you love the Maxima, as opposed to the Bimmer?

Good luck with the security gig.
A friend of ours owns one here, and does very well. He says private residences are where the real money is... I would have thought that commercial was the golden ticket but, I guess not. He still does commercial though.
I could never sell. I hate people in general, and I prolly would starve if I had to sell for a living.

Good luck getting the job...:cert:

I retired out of the biz almost a decade ago (the first time). In retrospect, the only mistake I made was going back into it. Didn't take me long to remember why I called it quits the first time.

:iagree: I'm a little too blunt to deal with the general public as stupid people piss me off.

The one exception was when I helped out my friend Roger at his gun shop. Springfield Armory 1911-A1 ( .45 ) in a DeSantis cross draw shoulder holster in plain view plus Roger's full permission to throw anybody out of the shop I wanted (backed by the BATF too )

Good luck Henry :cert:

Well the interview went very well. They have to make sure I am eligible for rehire before they can offer me the position. I will have to start at the bottom but hey....I know that won't last that long. I'm stoked, I have the manager of their largest and most successful office wanting me (doesn't hurt that I trained him when he 1st started as a lowly rep) and I have the VP of marketing wanting me back and going to meet with the VP of sales tomorrow and showing him my numbers when I was there.

Where are you located? ever considered venturing out on your own? or possibly building up a market for a company already in the business?
