It seems the photographer worked on a crab boat in the Bering Sea when he made that set of pics. "Kitty" appears in a couple of pics, and doesn't seem too worried (at least not more so than in that horse-head pic). It seems a cold-wet place for a cat, but he looks well-fed... :D

Whatever... I just liked the surrealism of that one pic.

Apparently the author liked it well enough to put it on the cover of his book...
