That's pretty incredible.
I managed 60k sq/ft of Type I floor space for a Ma Bell Telco.
We were the smallest of the 4 core data centers.
We also leased space to Msft and partnered with them when they started
their ISP service.
Bill Gates would often stop by and pay a visit.
Back in the days before he was married, he came by one day, and as we
were chatting, I looked down and noticed not only was he wearing
"high waters" (pants were too short), his socks were also mismatched.

When you have that much you really don't care what anyone else thinks about you. :D
How many chops did you leave on their servers for future IT's to find.

Back in about 1998 I went with my friend Ron to a data center in Virginia where his Angelfire servers were hosted. He had a couple of racks of equipment. To the right was Playboy's web servers, and to the left was two racks of Google servers. At that time it was their entire east coast mirror. Two racks.
Wish I would have invested in that company back then. :ack:
They were showing the Lenoir NC center. That's not that far from me.

Chopped a few co-workers.
Helped bring some laughs to otherwise boring conference calls and staff meetings.

Actually now that I think about it, it must have been no later than 1997 that I was at that data center. Yahoo and Alta Vista were the two big search engines, and everybody ran Netscape Navigator for a browser.

That's one of their smaller datacenters, but I don't know anything about that :leaving:
