Anyone watch these shows?

Love it or list it - This woman needs to be run out of town. EVERY show starts out with a great plan and midway through are all the excuses for not delivering. Does she learn NOTHING from experience/ Every show is the same.

Property brothers - Basically the same, but these guys are crafty. Brother unloads some dog he can't sell to anyone else, THEN get his contractor brother to sign the buyers up for renovations.

Both shows - No investigation regarding asbestos, supporting walls, age of plumbing and wiring, local ordinances, etc. They repeatedly screw the owner with their oversights.

After years of doing this, shouldn't they be the best by now?

Yeah, I know, that would eliminate the 'drama" and "suspense".:sleep:

It's getting ridiculous.
I was watching one where the dude is based in Las Vegas and he renovated a house that had marijuana plants growing in the attic.
He sold it with the plants in there and afterwards removed them before the new owners got the keys.

It's funny if you pay attention to some of these shows you see what terrible work they do and how many things they overlook.

That first show you mentioned should be slapped in the face with a bunch of dirty dicks.

So...Storage wars. Darrell and dave drive each other up on price, one of them loses. Brandi and (?) overpay for a unit and he makes some jokes. Barry makes alot of jokes, and finds a few things, and loses his ass.

Auction hunters- They buy 2 units that magically come in right at their "limit"...and "holy crap" they find some kind of rare antique or brand new 25,000 dollar machine...and make 15,000 dollars in 4 hours.

Gas Monkey- Richard buys some pile of shit, his buddy fixes it up, they lose money at auction..he flips 2-3 clunkers, and makes a little cash on the side, beer is had by all.

Holmes on Homes- Man and wife pay independant contractor to renovate home, no licenses were checked, no permits were pulled, 100% paid up front, house gutted, contractor disappeared...holmes find 128 things wrong and fixes them.

Amish mafia- Levi loses ground, Jolin acts like a hardass, John gets deeper into shit, Ester is a **** tease.

Gold Rush- Hoffmans crew breaks down, big nugget crew cant find gold, Dakota boys cant find a nugget in freds glory hole...

Yeh, got THAT right, and what gets ME, is the stupid high prices they report on for some flop house in some crummy inner city slum, and how the 'owners' just can't bare to move from their HOOD, and dirve a lousy 15 minits to avoid the nightime GUNFIRE.....and the prices are like 1/2 a mega buck on every show....just WHERE IN HELL does some bum slum enjoy THAT kind of bux.....no yard, 2' alley ways between structures, no parking for the most part, only ONE car if that.....cast iron plumbing, knob/spool wiring, leaky old wood windows all rotted out, no wall insulation, and the new shit going in....

what a DREAM....laminated 'hardwood' flooring, snap together shit with padding under it.....

damn house is 20' wide about enough for a bowling ball from front door to back door.....500 grand PLUS....yeh, right.....

IMHO, the best car show out there was Shade Tree Mechanic with Dave and Sam. They didnt just show us WHAT they did, but HOW they did it. Plus Sam was big on his Duramax Diesel and always was doing something to trick it out.

I'm a fan of the Mike Holmes shows. They are all the same, but I enjoy watching them anyways. He does good work.

I also like Bryan Baeumler, but I haven't seen a show with him in awhile.

You can usually tell a difference between shows where the crew is actually talented at what they do and shows where they are basically actors.

The dogs are where i make my money. Actually the properties that i buy are usually 10X worse than those. They are the ones that no lenders will finance due to the condition that they are in that me being a cash buyer can actually get a good deal on.
