Though I'm probably the only dumb ass that didn't know this.

When you break out your new 8x20 rug for the patio, and it starts to snow, the correct thing would be to fold it up and put it away. The incorrect thing would be to put out your awning to protect the rug from 2 inches of snow.

Luckily no expense involved. Just a lot of time getting the snow/ice off.

And would have saved a lot of extra time had I pulled in the slides during the snow instead of letting the slide awnings get packed in good, too. :banghead:

Where you camping at that there is snow? RVing is great, no matter the weather!

Went to ruidoso, nm. Went Friday, no snow, snowed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Was nice this morning and the sun helped with getting ice and snow away. Always wanted to rv in the snow. Learned a lot, had a blast, not sure I would do it again.

I put my awning out to dry one day. My daughter and I went to the movies and when I came out I noticed it had been raining. I got home and went out to the RV and saw a half balloon in front of the door. :slap: Dipped the awning, dumped the water and called Camping World for a new awning. Learned early to leave it dipped or pull it in.

I always leave one side down about two clicks so the water will drain when we leave the camp site.Never had to deal with snow yet!
