That is the first video I've seen that gives even a hint of what seeing the Aurora is actually like... amazing photography.

Spectacular :cert: We used to (pre mall and major subdivision housing projects) be able to see the northern lights when I was younger. Nothing as good as the video linked but pretty bright none the less. Grew up in northern nj and remember seeing it as late as 1974, then we lost almost all the ability to see many stars or planets due to all the lights. Hope to see something this year even if it means going north for vacation. Cool stuff for sure :cert::cert:

me too......tried to get Dixie to take me up there in winter for my 30th b-day and he wasn't a fan of the idea. Something about below zero temps..... :rofl:

If this Solar Max is as intense as some are predicting, we'll be seeing it here in TN.

The Aurora was seen in outlaying areas of ATL in '11.
