Thank you to everyone that gave their well wishes and said a prayer.
She went peacefully.
At 95 years old she had a good run, leaving behind five children, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandaughters.
As she wished, her body will be donated to the University of Texas Health Science Center to study as they wish. She made this desire known in a letter she penned over 30 years ago. We still have the original letter and she's been on their list for that long.
She will later be cremated and her ashes will be buried above my grandfather's grave. Her name will be added to the place reserved on his tombstone. He passed nearly 30 years ago.
We will miss her, but we are also glad she's finally at peace. :sadangel:
I have one remaining grandparent. My dad's mother is 97 years old and finally started using a walker (most of the time) earlier this year. I am not looking forward to having none... :sadangel:
