It is an original #s matching fuelie. 283 /315 HP

Gas cap, jack, whees paint to match.

The frame is as clean as it gets where it was a west coast car.

i beleive so. will check when i start going through it.

I had an NCRS person ( a freind of my freind ) to go look at .

He did a five page report and it is the real deal.

spent a month going back and fourth. Previous owner had it a long time and a realy nice older corvette guy,

I have an excell sheet with every # right down to wiper motor and all history

of all the owners back to dealership in WA in 61. :)

I know the coil is incorrect should be 107.

And the gas cap is incorrect.

Really cool can see all the bonding strips around the entire car.

Awesome 61! First thing I'd do is pull off the bias tires for show only, and get some Diamond Back Radials with correct whitewalls for it. It's like night and day as to either totally enjoying your drives, or fighting cuts on the pavement and suffering with a crappy ride. It made all the difference in the world on my 62. I keep my stock wheels tires and caps all together in the basement and run these rally wheels, 66 caps, and radials. I may flip the tires to BW and start running the original caps again, after I modify the wheels to accept them. Have fun!:seasix:

I must say, I get tired of the 4.11 gears when I feel like cruising on the highway. I may change it to the stock ratio of 3.36 in the future. :cert:

Nice! I remember the day I got my '61 delivered.

It's also unusual to see a '61 without the contrasting cove on the door these days, even though most back in the day didn't have it.

Be very careful, if you buy an original. For the last few yrs. at Carlisle, there has been a rash of them being stolen. I would only worry about it if you are showing it for points. Keep the repro or incorrect one on there and only use the original for show points (but, keep an eye on it or have someone help keep an eye on it). Very easy to steal and resell $$$

And the gas cap is incorrect.

Yes i am

I have a great Friend who has been looking for me for over 2 years !

This one was the one. :)

Lots of junk out there

This one was just amazing with all of the history and so on.
And the condition was just amazing.
Where it spent the majority of its life on the west coast the frame is as clean as it gets.

That's what I wanted to hear. :hurray: The numbers with a traceable history makes a nice looking car even better.

Congrats once again :cert:

exactly
Have all the previous owners all the way back to the dealer Ray Hunt Chevrolet. in Camas WA :)

And two Boxes of stuff from it over the years,
The last owner had it 11 years in Nevada

Anything he did or touched he documented .and saved everything as well as the owner before him.
Even gave me a box with some of the old weather stripping he had to replace for the soft top,

The only thing that got lost somewhere down the line was the hard top and the jack.
But i found an original jack.
