I'm a bit scoobish...so I told my wife that she could spend $xxx on anything she wanted, and I could not say a word about it.
Anything that she wanted, but could never justify the cost/value.
She thought that was a great gift.

I'd be more than happy to test the chocolate for you just in case it's not good.:leaving:
As for a present suggestion, I don't have anything.

All the more reason to make sure it's good quality and send it to me for inspection.:cert:

I try to listen to my wife throughout the year for things she mentions because she's terrible to shop for.
She broke a blown glass platter we got in Colorado when she hung it up on a cabinet wall. I ordered a replacement one from the same place and gave that to her for one of her gifts. Other than that, she's mentioned a few small things.
Key is making it about HER. Perhaps a gift card for a massage, manicure/pedicure, and facial at a nice spa/salon in the area. Perhaps plan a weekend away for her (and you if she wants ya). If you're into photography and have taken some nice pics, create a calendar for her. I built one on Wal-mart's website using vacation photos, home, and family photos over the years. Only cost about 20.00 but the time to put it together and then give it to her brought her to tears. Doesn't have to be expensive to be meaningful.

This year's goal was to find some great and unique items from unusual sources.
Plenty to find with some searching.
Scored these for my in-laws:
BAD DOG TUMBLERS | Funny Bad Dog Drinking Glasses for Pet Lovers | UncommonGoods (http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/bad-dog-tumblers)
Scored some cool stuff for my wife here:
P.O.S.H. - Glassware (http://poshchicago.com/collections/glassware)
I love it when she thinks I may have forgotten something she realllly liked, and it shows up in her lap.
Trouble is, she knows I don't forget much, so it's become a good bit harder to surprise her.

Karens getting a Coach purse a Mossburg 500, & a 9mm of some sort, and in return I'm getting 17 30rnd PMAGS, an AR upper, (hopefully an AR-10 lower), and some misc parts.

She's resistant to carrying a gun in her purse...and doesn't think she'd conceal one well on her person, so i'm going to get her a full size 9mm for home defense & use on the ranch.

I carry the 9mm in my purse depending what I'm wearing. I've got a new (to me) P32 I'll be picking up in January, and for that I plan on buying an ankle holster, and possibly the bra holster. The 9mm weighs my purse down hella bad, and I found a super sweet fossil purse that would be ideal for concealing a gun. (and so no one thinks I'm a pansy, this is the first time I've ever actually gone 'purse shopping') :seasix:
Damn thing is $188 - really?! Go figure it's the only one I like.

My wife and I don't buy each other gifts. We take the money that we would spend on each other and find two families that can use some help during this time of year. There are several single moms where she works who have a tough time around this time of year and I have a friend who wife has been having medical issues and the bills are running up on them. We gave both families $500 anonymously.

Since I don't have a wife anymore here's what I bought my family (and some of you will flame me for this, too)
Mom: Something fromt he sewing shop. Gotta see what Little brother bought first so I don't double gift her.
Dad: Maverick 88 12q from Academy
Little brother and his wife: Donald Duck as Darth Vader Figurine from Disney World for him and a BB Gift Card for the both of them.
Ex-wife (yes, seh is coming to visit... I've gotten tons of shit from you all already) Plane Ticket and something to remind her of the cats who live with me that she loves since she's allergic to them.
Me? Nothing yet. HAven't figured out how to buy myself any peace and damn quiet without getting a years worth of blah blah blah when I surface again.
