Thought I might have a clot. Leg hurts like holy hell.
So far, they don't think it's arterial. Waiting on ultrasound now.
BP was high but coming back down.
Posting from the phone.
Oh yeah, got a promotion and raise today too.
What a day
Damn boy!
Will they be able to tell if it's a boy or a girl this early? :D
Best wishes headed your way. :seasix:

How active are you?
the reason I ask is when I broke a bone in my foot 2 years ago I could not put any weight on it for 2 months.
Due to the inactivity, I had a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) --a clot from my right calf almost up to the groin area.
The doc was not too worried about it. He blamed it on the inactivity.
Loaded me up with Warfarin and I had to give myself shots in the gut for a week or so.
Best of luck to ya mang!!!
Keep us updated

Almost 17 years ago, I went to the emergency room with similar symptoms. ER quacks told me that I was too young (32) to have phlebitis, and that it must be an insect bite. Two weeks later, I went to a vein specialist who ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound revealed a massive clot. Back to the ER I went. The same quacks were on duty. When they saw me, they said "Oh, the bug bite guy again...". Once they saw the ultrasound results, they slithered back under their rocks.
Hope it's nothing serious!

I have the same condition since 1997 - woke up with a pain in my right leg. Did not feel like it was a muscle pain. I got up to go to breakfast, and now my leg was hurting more, so I got pissed off and shook my leg, and the wife said I turned white as a sheet. She calls the doc and he says get him in ER now.
In the hospital, a scan indicated I had a blood clot in my leg which broke off when I shook my leg. I spent a full week in the hospital while they try to determine the cause, and prevent the clot from hitting my lungs or brain. The blood analysis indicated I have a protein C deficiency, so now I'm on blood thinners for the rest of my life. The only good thing out of this - no more jury duty. I have to make sure I'm always hydrated, and can't sit in one spot too long.

I'm so proud of you for going to the dr first and then posting. You are probably too smart to be posting here. But you do hide it well.
Anyway, I'm just down 40 from the two hospitals so let me know if you need a ride home or something.

Hey oddball.
I'd be real careful of the "or something".
You might find a mirroredshades giving you a prostate exam or something.

And thanks my friends for all the well wishes. :cert:
Ok,
Did bloodwork and unltrasound and the docs say NO clots. :hurray:
Now, whadafuq is it? Still hurts like a mofo. Comes and goes.
Could be sciatic. (I'm not so sure) They gave me some painkillers for the pain. And I will have to schedule with a neurologist I guess.
Now when I leave there, (at two in the morning) I go to the all night pharmacy, get the prescription filled, popped a pill while I'm getting in the car (My dad drove), looked at the bottle while I was putting it in my jacket pocket.....
...AND THERE IS SOME ONE ELSES NAME ON THE FUGGIN" BOTTLE AND I DON"T EVEN RECOGNIZE THE NAME OF THE MEDICATION!!!!!!!!!
WHAT THE HOLY F'CK?????????????
Bag's got my name on it, but definitely not my meds; AND I JUST TOOK ONE!!!!!!!
So I go storming back in there and start barking at the pharmacist.
The whole store heard me: "WHAT THE F"CK DID I JUST TAKE??????"
Turns out it was Atorvastatin, generic for Lipitor.
Ok, so he gets's to live. Yeah, he's apologizing like a spanked child, but I really don't give a shit. I've been in pain all day and this dumbf'ck pulls this shit. I understand mistakes happen and all that, but a pharmacist doesn't have that luxury. I'm not after to sue the pharmacy, but their management is certainly going to know about it. And that f'cker is lucky to still have his teeth.
On other news, found out Friday that I had been promoted (basically got the job that I applied for within the company) and it was announced Monday. A whole lot less programming and a whole lot more project management, and I move to a building 15 miles closer to home. Lots of other perks too, and a substantial salary increase. Probably at or above where I was at before the economy tanked. It's been a long crawl out of that hole.
All in all it was a good day, and I thank God very, very much for my blessings.
Thanks for the update.
Hopefully you can get the pain issue sorted out.
And congrats on the promotion and raise!:thumbs:

Being given the wrong meds is scary stuff!!!
Hopefully it's nothing serious and can all be chalked up to "growing pains". :seasix:
(I'm not a real gynecologist, so I'm not going to charge for my diagnosis):D
