New toy :D

New to me at least. The boss has been handing out the new D4's to the staff and taking in the D3's. I got one today to replace the D300 I've had for 3 years. :dance:

I lose my favorite lens cause it won't work with the full frame D3, but I'll live:D

D300 and lens going away tomorrow. It was light, easy and a good workhorse.

Good news about the 17-55. It got swapped out for one that looks brand new and the only problem with the full frame is a vignette from 17-28. I can deal with that :D

Actually, that D300 is a loaner from our Nikon rep. We think he has forgotten about it and the boss put in a call to him yesterday. He may tell us to keep it and I suspect it'll go to a reporter to replace one of the few D2Hs bodies still out there. POS boat anchors.....

All of the old equipment will be sold including the that 17-55 lens. Sometimes he puts them on ebay, sometimes it's a bundle trade for more equipment. I'll ask what he's planning to do. :seasix:

All of the old stuff is being traded in together and the loaner D300 body is already being shipped back to Nikon.

Trust me....you would not like having to hit our deadlines. Takes all the fun out of it. If I don't get a pass to the Super Bowl....neither do you :D

timely thread. have been wanting a second body, and actually have the opportunity to pick up a new D300 for free. BUT, can't decide if i want to go back to DX as my current camera is full frame. Not sure I want a full frame and a DX.

Too late. The free d300 became a free primo xl oval.

they work? everything in good shape? how much for the f4 and f5?

both work just fine. have a matching data back for the F4 too, as well as matching strobes. i'll PM some pix and details.
