On the first Saturday of each month, Corvette enthusiasts gather at Brier Creek Shopping Center for a "show & shine". Brier Creek Shopping Center is located in Raleigh, NC on US 70 just west of RDU Airport. Members from our local Corvette clubs participate, as well as, many non-affiliated Corvette owners. All Corvette enthusiasts are welcome.
We usually have a short cruise and lunch. These gatherings continue throughout the year, cancelling only for inclement weather. On July 4th we had 69 Corvettes. I try to give the gatherings themes. In 2010 we had the Plastic Fantastic in March, Corvette Corral & Bunny Cruise in April, July 3rd at Brier Creek in July, OctoberVettes in October, VetteFest in November and December at the Creek in December.
The Porsche Club, the Italian Sportscar Club, the Miata Club & the S2000 Club also meet. We have been alloted 160 spaces, and we have always run over our limit. Those pesky Cobras and Vipers can't stay away!
Beginning in January we will celebrate New Year's at the Creek. Here is our announcement and theme.
What a great way to start 2011... showing off all of your Corvette Christmas gifts.
We'll gather at 9:00 and go to lunch somewhere at 11:30 or so. See you then and there.
In addition to all of our great Corvettes, how about for New Year's At the Creek we try to corral the anniversary cars of:
1961 - 50th Anniversary
1971 - 40th Anniversary
1981 - 30th Anniversary
1991 - 20th Anniversary
2001 - 10th Anniversary
2011 - New Heartbeat of America
