I used to play this record over and over and over....

And nobody taught me how to use a record player. Figured it out on my own. They were good for other things too. I figure it was the caterpillar experiments that that caused mom to buy me my own record player

First song I ever remember recognizing when it came on the radio was "Rock The Boat" by The Hues Corporation.

Candy Man by Sammy Davis Jr. ...
Early on a cool morning at a playground (before everybody else) in Isla Vista California.
just sitting in a swing listening to a transistor radio
"who can make the sunshine?"
Rumbly in my Tumbly by Winnie the Pooh.
I just wanted to add I also remember my mother singing 'Hey Good Lookin' by Hank Sr. That's probably the first song I remember. I also recall that I thought she had made it up herself!

My dad had a wonderful voice and he sang every morning while getting ready for work. He loved Patsy Cline and I heard "The Tennessee Waltz" every morning. I just listened to it for the first time in @ 30 years....it's hard to see the keys now.

It's either Puff the Majic Dragon or something off one of the Beatles early LPs. My mom was a big fan.
