View Full Version : Texans in the afterlife

Gabriel came to the Lord and said, "I have to talk to you. We have some Texans up here who are causing problems. They're swinging on the pearly gates, my horn is missing, barbecue sauce is all over their robes, their dogs are riding in the chariots, and they're wearing baseball caps and cowboy hats instead of their halos. They refuse to keep the stairway to Heaven clean. There are watermelon seeds, spare rib bones, and corn cobs all over the place. Some of them are walking around with just one wing."

The Lord said, "Texans are Texans, Gabriel. Heaven is Home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, call the Devil."

The Devil answered the phone, "Hello? Damn, hold on a minute." The Devil returned to the phone, "Okay, I'm back. What can I do for you?"

Gabriel replied, "I just want to know what kind of problems you're having down there."

The Devil said, "Hold on again. I need to check on something." After about 5 minutes the Devil returned to the phone and said, "I'm back. Now what was the question?"

Gabriel said, "What kind of problems are you having down there?"

The Devil said, "Man, I don't believe this....Hold on." This time the Devil was gone 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said , "I'm sorry Gabriel, I can't talk right now. Those damn Texans have put out the fire and are trying to install air conditioning."

What the hell is going on in Texas, I hate to pick on the Lone Star State, but Damn... I just read there now making the children in Texas schools carry a card that is encoded with a GPS tracking chip so the school system knows where the kids are at 100% of the time...Parents are all pissed off but the school system doesn't care because its getting big bucks from the government for being the first in the country to try it out.......Can you say "Big Brother Is Watching"........:leaving:..WW

Well seeing that most school faculty members are mostly socialist liberals, with fascist leaning commie agendas, no big surprise.
Here is a perfect example of the new left educational agenda here. My eldest son went to this high school years ago. If he were still there, I would have yanked him out of there in a heart beat. This is the beginning here of "No Child left behind" bullshit. You won't believe what you are reading:sadangel:

Edmonton teacher fired over his no-zero stance on grading

EDMONTON - The teacher at the centre of the no-zero grade controversy was fired Friday afternoon by Edmonton Public Schools.

Lynden Dorval received his termination notice after he attended a hearing Monday with the school district superintendent in which he argued to keep his job.

“I was still hopeful this wouldn’t occur, but I believe the superintendent had made it clear long ago that his mind was made up,” Dorval said Friday. “I tried to steel myself for this outcome but I had some hope it wouldn’t come to this.”

A teacher for 35 years, Dorval was officially suspended from his position as a physics teacher at Ross Sheppard High School on May 18. According to the registered letter he received on Friday, his termination is effective Oct. 15.

The three-page letter, from Superintendent of Schools Edgar Schmidt, says Dorval is being terminated for “repeated acts of insubordination, unprofessional conduct, and refusal to obey lawful orders” subsequent to his suspension.

The 61-year-old was suspended for contravening school policy and giving zeros to students who did not turn in assignments. Teachers at Ross Sheppard are ordered by Principal Ron Bradley to note that the work was missed, but not to give students’ zeros.

My wife is a teacher in Maryland about 20 miles from where we live in West Virginia. She was telling me not long ago that it's impossible for a child to fail school now.If there grades during the year aren't good enough to pass, all they have to do is a end of year "Project". Even if the project sucks and is garbage that has very little effort put into it, they still get passed because they turned in a project... How the hell can they not pass with rules like that in place...And they wonder why the US has fallen to the bottom of the pile when it comes to education..This country is SCREWED!!!..:confused5:...WW

I tell you what they'll do, they will end up on our dime. I mean it's getting so bad now, that some of the young kids in hockey leagues keep no score and all get trophies because the retarded parents think it's better for kids never to lose...WTF?? I can't believe there are people stupid enough to come up with all this idiotic crap. Putting GPS on the kids, making it so no child can fail, making it so no child can ever get a zero, not keeping scores at sporting events so no one loses.. It has taken hundreds of years for our ancestors to figure out what works with children and what doesn't.. Our society was finally starting to get things right with the kids up to about 10 or 15 years ago..Now in the last few years they have come up with shit that makes no sense at all and can only cause kids to fail in the real world.. This sounds like someone is trying to destroy the United States from within. Destroying our kids so there's no one competent enough to run this country in the future..Setting these kids up to fail so they need financial help which would drain our countrys resources...Maybe we're being attacked from outside forces and don't even know it..This would be the perfect way to destroy a country, and its citizens not even know its happening....Do I sound paronoid???...Well I am....WW

School board trustees and administrators have been under pressure from the community and from the Texas Education Agency to take disciplinary action against employees who helped carry out García's cheating scheme. The scheme kicked some students out of school, kept others from enrolling and manipulated grade levels for students to keep them from taking the sophomore test that determines whether a school is meeting federal standards.

It won't be. Here in Ohio there are multiple school districts that modified student records to show they had withdrawn from school and then re-enrolled.

That drops their grades and attendance records from the calculations used for reporting to the State Dept of Education and the Feds and makes the school looks better on paper.

The Superintendent of the Columbus Public Schools has announced her "retirement" at the end of this school year. Her retirement is, of course, completely unrelated to the dummied up data reported by the district.....

It's amazing to me just how idiotic governments are. Most business owners can see trouble coming and begin to do what ever they need to do to survive before the shit hits the fan. Two very valid points. But you see, business owners can't just crank up the printing presses and print themselves FRN's like the govt can. Well, for now anyway. But it's going to come home to roost....and very soon.

And yes, the USA drives the world economy. And if we implode, so does the entire world economy.....which is the only reason things are still going as well as they are. The world could call in our debt any time they want to....but doing so would be financial suicide. It's in everybody's interest to keep the game going as long as possible....but at some point, the debt load will be unsustainable.

Americans own a massive share of their own debt....contrary to popular myth, the Chinese and the Arabs own a relatively small share of it....but in terms of dollars, it's still astronomical. Think of it in these terms....you earn $50K a year. You take home $3000 a month after taxes. You owe $600K on your house, and the payment is eating up 70% of your take home pay. You have $900 a month left over. You have $600 in car payments, $400 a month in groceries, and have a $75K balance on your credit cards at 24% interest....and the interest alone is eating up $500 a month. Utilities and insurance are eating up another $500 a month. You still spend $400 a month on entertainment. To make up the deficit, you keep taking out new credit cards and other lines of credit. You are a microcosm of the USA right now.

Never in my wildest dreams when I was young did I think it would come to this. Yet here we are.

George Soros? He and Barry aren't lost, they're set for life. All the money, drugs, power, and women they'll ever want and no consequences. And to hell with the rest of us.

There is probably more truth to that than any of us wants to admit.

Frizlefrak

The one thing that is VERY important to remember....we left the gold standard decades ago. Therefore, our debt = our money supply. The more debt there is, the more cash is floating around in circulation. And there more there is of something, the less valuable it becomes....to the point where nobody wants it anymore.

That is the tipping point....when nobody wants it anymore.
