Yep.

It was an absolutely fantastic car. The styling was a little bland, but the interior was awesome and with the IRS it kicked the Mustang and previous generation Camaro's ass (no Camaros were being made at the time) in drivability, handling, and comfort. It was a perfect combination of American power and European comfort.

They had everything they needed to compete with the Mustang if they had only called it the G8, or something else. Instead of comparing them to Mustangs and seeing that they were better cars, everybody ended up comparing it to the old muscle cars... and to most people they just didn't stack up.

I loved mine, and even with that said, I HATED the fact that it was called a GTO.

I don't have much faith in GM. They already have one underpowered Regal yacht. The 2013 Regal GS has an inline turbo 4 putting out 270hp/295tq while lumbering across the scale at 4755. Unless they go all in and put some real power, I'll continue to giggle at a four banger in that boat anchor.

You ain't kidding, something about a software update by GM for some strange problem in a neighbor's suburban....does something weird.....

and a stepson bought a early 90's S10, and so the battery would die and it was drawing 300 mills when setting, as if some light was lit, but NO, so I started pulling fuses, the ten amp fuse to the 'Body control computer'.....removed the drain, so I bent the tab soldered a wire and found a switched hot, so he has to wait about 4 seconds for the chimes and dash lights to go off before cranking over.....been that way for years now, but at least the battery don't die.....

but know what's funny??? they buried that damn computer up under the damn dash where it would take a side cutter and a sawzall to get to it....

It's a Buick. The primary market for those is China now. Nobody rolls solo over there, so I can see why it is a 4 door.
