The Confederate Air Force (now, Commemorative AF) use to be there. They moved, but had the worlds best WW2 airplane collection. I had relatives in Falfurrias/Premont area. I visited the CAF @ Harlingen on the way down to Mexico.

May I suggest you bring a gun Mark? If you don't have one, please stop at the tx border and me may be provided to you.

Harlingen, TX was later shortened to "Arlen" and incorporated as such. It is home to Roger Staubach Elementary School, Tom Landry Middle School and Arlen High School. McMaynerberry is about a ten-minute drive away.

That is not correct. Arlen, home of the Hill family, is loosely based on Pasadena, TX. You know, the Urban Cowboy movie backdrop. The funny thing is, though, that Pasadena is predominantly Tejano and Mexican now. The rednecks are a shrinking minority now.

I've been to all three of those towns. McAllen, Harlingen and Brownsville, including Matamoros Mexico which is a complete shithole.

I think...Matamoros is where we went. I was a teenager, and didn't pay attention to the name. Nasty place, with lots of nasty people. One trip to Mexico was enough to do me for my lifetime. I'd much rather have spent the entire day at the CAF.

Me and two buddies hung out in a saloon in Matamoros for a couple hours drinking beer with the locals. The minute we walked in, we knew we had made a mistake. But rather than turn around and RUN outta the place we figured it might be wise to stay for a few. Running out of a bar the minute you walk in screams "Victim."

:Jeff '79: I've done the same thing in a few instances.... I know the feeling, and you're right... Stay and at least have a few before you get raped...

CLose.

From Wiki - King of the Hill is set in the fictional Austin suburb of Arlen, Texas. As seen in the episode, "Hank's Cowboy Movie" the town has a population of 145,300 people. Arlen is located just north of the Brazos River in central Texas.[3] In a 1995 interview prior to the show's debut, Judge described the setting as "a town like Humble." (a suburb of Houston).[32] In a more recent interview, Judge has cited Richardson, Texas, a Dallas suburb, as the specific inspiration for Arlen.[33] Time magazine praised the authentic portrayal as the "most acutely observed, realistic sitcom about regional American life bar none".[2]

Know the feeling. Crashed a Devils Disciples party out in the wood looking for a place to park with a girl one night  Nice guys as long as you're not stingy with the beers

AAAAHHHHH.

It's priced right and he has about $1500-$2k in mods done to it that i would do to it done already (intake, axle back, tune, tint, 3.55 gears). All i would want to do after the fact is suspension and wheels and tires and couple of small appearance mods like a different spoilers, different grill, striping, and that's about it.

Also Wells Fargo has the lien on it and i bank with them as well so he is calling today about possibly transferring the financing into my name as he's at 1.9%.
