I thought so...

Terms..

You pay me 500 up front, then 520.00 a month for 6 months, with a limit on miles, and it has to have full coverage, and be garaged/covered, etc...

Then you give the car back or reneg for 6 more months...

So for 4700 bucks, you can drive around in a well used 12 year old corvette for 6 months, with terms on how far yo ucan drive, and you have to have full coverage...then you give it back.

Do people actually do this crap?

Well its actually only $3,620 for 6 months. Where does the additional $1,080 come from? Not that I am suprised the person listing the ad can't do math. But yes, bad deal.

I was wowed by the amount of detail in the ad. Mileage? Transmission type? Condition? Options? Car history? Maintenance history? Damn, the would be lessor really spelled it all out for us.

No matter, the guy is reaching for the rainbow. Thanks for sharing, Red. I needed a good laugh this morning.

With some decent faked creds, an enterprising thief could spend the $500 and part it out, probably making a couple grand.
