Daniel Craig and James Bond dont belong in the same line of thought, He is the worst bond ever, worse than Lazenby.

Craig = 3 Bond movies, thus far
Lazenby = 1 Bond movie
Your math doesn't add up.

Craig is just a terrible bond, I dont like him, his voice, anything about him.
Sean connery was the best.
Pierce brosnan was 2nd best.
At least they looked Suave, and Debonair. Craig looks rough, old...and he is open to gay love scenes.

Casino Royale was so uninteresting. And Bond is supposed to get the girl, not be a prissy bitch and watch her die.
The first eh...15 minutes of Quantum of Solace was good though.

Ian Fleming’s James Bond was born in Zurich in the early 1920s to Andrew Bond of Glencoe and Monique Delacroix, from the Canton de Vaud in Switzerland. The family divided their time between a flat in Chelsea and a large house just outside Basel which enabled James’ fluency in French and German, as well as English. Tragically, both James’ mother and father died in a climbing accident whilst on holiday in France when he was only eleven.
After the death of his parents, Bond was placed under the guardianship of his aunt Charmian and went to live with her in Kent. James later passed the Common Entrance Exam for Eton College and entered the school. After two halves at the school, James Bond was removed from Eton due to an alleged incident with one of the Boys’ Maids, and his aunt Charmian transferred James to his father’s old school, Fettes College.
During the War, Bond was enrolled in the secret service joining the newly created Special Operations Executive, later to become Special Operations (SO). Bond undertook missions abroad for several years before being reassigned to London in 1949. Shortly after his return to London, Bond was awarded a license to kill, and from that moment on became known as agent 007.
‘The double-o prefix, was a great honour. It had been earned hardly. It brought Bond the only assignments he enjoyed, the dangerous ones.’

Daniel Craig and James Bond dont belong in the same line of thought, He is the worst bond ever, worse than Lazenby.
You > point. Daniel Craig is a great gritty Bond. Everyone remembers Roger Moore, but he was afraid to get dirty. I like the current Bond series. Going to see Skyfall on Thursday night on IMAX.

Doesn't rank quite as high as your ol' "not championship caliber driver" Jimmy Johnson comment. But it's pretty close.

I'll clear this up.
If you read the books, you will understand that Craig is an excellent choice to play Bond.
Bond is a cold blooded killer. Not a fancy-panzy man of etiquette.
Not taking anything away from Moore or Brosnan, mind you. I grew up with Moore as Bond, and knew that Brosnan would play an excellent Bond also.
But Craig as Bond is :seasix:

I like Craig. I think he's a very convincing Bond. The guy's like Vladimir Putin gone berserk. An absolutely methodical killing machine with ice water in his veins. Just like the Ian Fleming novels.

Sean Connery is James Bond.
Any other is a DISTANT second.

I think that's a very valid point.
That said, how many people do you think who have watched a Bond movie since they started have read the books?
Not many people have read the book, period. IMHO. Because they are very hard to read, like Jane Austen's books.

Brosnan could have been THE best Bond if the movie script writing hadn't been so cheesy and tongue-in-cheek.
QoS sucked (except for the opening), but I like the edginess of this series of Bond movies.
Bond, to me, isn't about the cheesy, it's about the intrigue and exotic, combined with the ruthless and deadly. I'm REALLY pumped about Skyfall.

I liked Golden Eye.
The rest were meh.
Exactly. The writing in Goldeneye was pretty good by comparison. It just got really bad after that - the only time he'd say anything was for a pun or innuendo. While I agree most of what Bond has to say is through actions, the words he does say should not ALWAYS be campy.
I think the writing/dialogue in the Craig series has thus far been pretty good. Just the QoS story line needed some serious help.

I'll take the original (Jason Bourne) over the wanna be. :seasix:
Uhm... Bond predates Bourne by about 30 years.
Ludlum released the Bourne Identity in 1980. Fleming's Casino Royale printed in 1953.

When I was a kid, I remember watching Barry Nelson in the first Casino Royale, I think it was on live TV. Yeah, I'm an ol' fart.
