Social network... how many use them? [Archive]

Myspace, Yourspace, Facebook, Twitter....... and those silly games they have everybody playing??? I remember getting an email from my aunt sending me a cow from Farmland!!

Now on the Android systems they have this new lattitude program where you can locate your network of friends in real time via google maps... :shake:

How many of you guys and gals are totally into that stuff too?

None of that BS for me, but my GF is on Facebook and plays Farmville etc... every waking hour she's not at work. It's perfect for me, cause I sit right next to her on the couch with full reign over the TV. I've been playing GT5 on my PS3 for four days straight! :o_o: :auto: :drivingskid:

I use Facebook only... deleted my Myspace long ago, don't play any of the games, and have never even looked at Twitter once.

Evidently all that game stuff got moved somewhere else when I kept saying to hide it! Thank goodness. I don't like that part of FB. Haven't used it ever and don't plan to.

I check my FB periodically. Social media is ok, but life would be ok without it too.

I do know of some whose whole lives are wrapped up in it. Sad. :willy:

I use Facebook. I hope on there from my phone all the time, I don't HAVE to do it, there are times when I go days at a time with not being there. BUT, it is a great way for me to keep in touch with Frat Bros, college friends, and fellow musicians I have met though the years all in one place, and not having to send out 380 emails day seeing what is going on in my friends' lives.

Yeah, it is also a great way to network with other Vette owners and clubs...people look down on Social Network sights, but there are a lot of benefits to them.

FB is a good quick easy way to stay in touch with friends that you don't get to see often.

It's great when you've lost touch with someone and out of the blue you get a friend request from them. Very cool! Not to long ago my first supervisor in my first squadron sent me a message. It was good to find out what the guys that gave me my Wendy Woman nickname had been up to after all these years.:cheers:
