The wife's Acura Care coverage is about up. The car is almost at 100k miles and I'd like to run it for at least a couple more years without too many worries. I've kept up with all the preventative maintenance, but you just never know. As there a million extended warranty companies out there I want to do my research. I was recommended to take a look at Fidelity from the Acura service tech. However, he mentioned one of his customers had over $3,000 worth of repairs that her particular extended warranty company wouldn't pay for (not cool man).

Does anyone have any good experiences, suggestions, etc?

I've never known anyone who was satisfied with their extended warranty, and they aren't cheap to buy, either.

I bought one for my Caddie a few years ago, transmisson lines (which were not exposed to under carriage scraping), started leaking......not covered. That's all it took, never again. To this day, I get "your warranty is going to expire soon shit, you need this, yada-yada...." Screw 'em.

I paid something like $1200 for a a 5 year extended warranty from Warranty Direct for my 2002 C5 on the recommendation of Evil Twin on CF.

Boy did I make out. My car had every know flaw at least once, and they were a lot less of a hassle to get repairs approved than getting GM to honor it's warranty.

Hedge your bets, put 3k in the stock market and withdraw against that for any repairs necessary.

Acuras don't break. Spend the money on hookers.
