Here is a view of Felix Baumgartner's drop from 128,000 above the planet. It was the one view that was not available on Sunday and is from his chest pack looking upwards at his helmet (or down at the planet if you prefer). It was amazing to see him pull out of the flat-spin that could have cost him his life.
This guy's cajones are as big as bowling balls. . .

I thought about that as well. I was thinking maybe with the increased speed they were conservative on slow down time.
He didn't have long to go.

Ummm, maybe because his visor had frozen over and he could not see out to look either at the ground or at his altimeter? :confused5:

was thinking that might be the case, but figured since control knew this, they'd be talking him through it to get the record.:dunno:

From what I read the chute opened automaticaly in case he was not able to do it manually............:)
