From my daughter this evening:

:toetap:
Context: She's in St. Louis, working in a civilian hospital (for a few weeks) via an agreement they have with the Air Force. She's working in the Trauma Unit and ER as part of her readiness training before she deploys.
We're originally from Michigan...but can't get White Castle out here. :nonod: And, no, the White Castle burgers in the freezer section at the grocery store are not the same. :nono: This means we always stop for White Castle any time we're in a state that has them, which isn't often.
The little brat just had to rub it in.
Still, I can't say I ever expected to hear about dead bodies and White Castle in the same night. Well, maybe that's not entirely truthful...
Edit: Before someone says it...yes, I need to charge my phone. I ALWAYS need to charge my phone. :D :leaving:
We have White Castle here.

None here. :nonod:
The text tonight was just so random. If you had asked me what my child would be texting about, White Castle and a dead body would not have been at the top of the list. When I saw the first text, I just looked at it for a minute thinking... not... sure... how... to... respond...??? Uhhhhhhh...

Oh, I could post some good ones, but I'm not. :leaving:
The only White Castle near here closed a couple of years ago.
I've had it a few times and I figured out why they're called "sliders." They go through your system as quickly as Gozar's chili through 3 in thick titanium.

We have no White Castles on the west side of Michigan, so whenever I am in the greater Detroit area, the Castle is a must.
:seasix:
Oh, and our Faygo "pop" is actually dirt cheap around here! :D

Which hospital is she working at?
North St Louis is probably real good training for someone getting ready to deploy. Seems like there are muiltiple shootings every day.

I was not at either event. :dunno: Since I work in Nashville, I could go to White Castle whenever I want. Just haven't.
Hmm......hamburger joint.......dead bodies......anybody remember a movie called Soylant Green?

Seems like East St. Louis on the other side of the river would be the best place to learn to treat real combat style trauma, gunshots, stabbings, car wrecks, and combinations thereof. Of course, I wouldn't send anyone there, much less a girl, without an armed escort.

Both are prime locations to gain experience with gunshot wounds.

Memphis, Tenn. is a shithole, too.

Sad to hear that about north St. Louis. I guess that is why South County has really taken off.

She was actually out working as an EMT last night in St. Louis. Working out of one of the firestations, I guess. She said she had a lot of fun. :island14:

You can PM me the pics. Bu only if they're sexy ones.

We've found some places out here that sell Faygo.
Here's the thing...they sell it like its some designer soda. I'm like...you realize that, when this stuff is one sale in Michigan, I can get a three liter for like $0.99, right? :skep:

Saint Louis University Hospital and at least one other, but I can't rememeber which one. They've already had some gunshot wounds come in since she's been there.

Creme Soda is excellent for mixed drinks, incidentally.
