You really ought to pick up Warren Zevon's book "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead." Great read. :seasix:

An amazing singer/songwriter with a killer sharp sense of humor. :cert:

Saw him in a dive bar in Buffalo in the late 90s. Still shocked that there was only 40-50 people there to see him. I drove 7 hours crammed into a small pickup with 2 others to catch him play.

He died in September of 2003. I had to Google it because it didn't seem like it was that long ago. :sadangel:

It is indeed, and his long time collaborator Jack Pierce, in the make-up room on the set of Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman (1943).

I did not know that. Just read about him on Wiki and he died of a cancer caused by asbestos. Said he was afraid of doctors and hadn't been to one in 20 years before being diagnosed with cancer.

56? Damn! Way too early. Lost my mom at 55. :sadangel:

It is indeed, and his long time collaborator Jack Pierce, in the make-up room on the set of Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman (1943).I remember him from the Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein where all three monsters were together. Dracula (Bela Lugosi), Wolfman (Lon Chaney Jr.), Frankenstein(Glenn Strange) Miss the old movies.:seasix::cert:

I did, based on YOUR recommendation BTW. It was outstanding, but I'm a pretty big fan of WZ. :cert:

How could I forget this gem? Hard to listen to the lyrics and not laugh.

Saw Jackson Browne cover this as a tribute to his pal Warren.

A gracious tribute since Zevon used to bust Browne's balls and tell him he wrote it about his bad relationships.

My second guess would have been Floyd from the Andy Griffith show.
