become a sport? ESPN is showing the 2010 World Series of Poker. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing Poker at times, but the only exercise I got from playing was either running to take a wee or going to get more beer. I just wonder what the training regimen is for Texas Hold 'Em

I'm not sure about it being a sport but there is a guy that visits my son's shop for all of his work on his cars CZ6 and many other nice ones and that is how he makes his living he is in Los Vages a lot. It seems to be paying off for him , I need some lessons

Golf takes more physical talent, hand/eye coordination, and mental focus to play well than any sport you'll ever play. Period. You don't get a second serve, 3 strikes, you have to play your foul balls, no free throws, no extra yards cause you were interfered with........you get the idea.

They have been showing the World Series of Poker on ESPN for about twenty years. I love it.

Really, well I play hockey pretty well which is 100X the sport golf ever hopes to be and for the record, darts takes a lot of hand eye coordination too but I don't consider that a sport either, juggling requires more hand-eye coordination than golf, is that a sport too? Golf is an activity, no different than throwing rocks in a lake or changing a tire, anytime you need a cart to get to your next action because you're too lazy to walk than I have to wonder.

If hockey is 100X the sport that golf is, then why did The Great One state that golf is 1000X harder than hockey? :D
Some of the best golfers, longest hitters, are/were hockey players. The action of hitting a slap shot is almost exactly like hitting a golf shot. Plus they have those strong legs from all that skating.
BTW, what is your definition of a "sport" Monk?

Well I guess my definition of sport is an activity that you actually break a sweat doing and not because it's hot outside. I'm not saying that golf doesn't require skill or that it's easy or even putting it down but I don't think it's a sport, it is however as I stated before an activity, no different than shooting pool.
This "is golf a sport" debate is almost as interesting as "which generation is better C4, C5 or C6".

The cart has a niffty place to put your beer.

Ah hell Monk, I'm not gonna argue with you over what is and what isn't a sport. To each there own. I would never try curling, but they call that a sport, so........
I prefer the C5.
